I'm growing lots of corn this year.I'm growing 'Silver Queen' and 'Candy Corner'.They're both F1 hybrids.I have about 20 plants growing. One of my siblings called me "corny" just because I love corn.Corn tastes darn good from the can but even better when home-grown.Guess you can just call me corny! lol

most of the seedlings are tiny but the first sowing of corn outdoors are already about a foot tall.I planted bean seeds along with the corn because I ran out of plant food and I'm broke. The beans will provide nitrogen to the corn and the corn will provide support to the beans. Now that was some smart thinking.

I will try that too! Kind of like how I grow cucumbers up sunflowers.

Good luck with your corn! I just got ours in tonight.. a bit late, but it couldn't be helped.

That is a pretty good idea about growing cucumbers up Sunflowers.. cool. I might have to try that next year.. if I remember. hahaha
