My son recently got me a Kodak EasyShare Z885 Zoom, Point-and-shoot camera that takes excellent photos. THEN he brought me a Nikon D40 SLR camera that he got at a clearance sale for pennies on the dollar. HOWEVER, the flash was defective. SO, Last night he came home with an early Father's Day present...... a BRAND New Canon EOS REBEL XSi SLR camera he got at ANOTHER clearance sale. It does not have a battery or charger, and does NOT come with a lense (That is how SLR cameras are sold. You have to buy the lenses separately). It needs a good SD video card and camera strap. This has ALWAYS been my DREAM camera, I can get the batteries and charger for about $100.00, a good starter lense for about $200.00, and a video card for about $50.00 - $100.00. I have just about saved up that money for a new camera so by this Fall I am going to have me one *@#! of a CAMERA! In the meantime I have the Kodak to use which takes GREAT pictures and when my Canon is fully loaded and ready to fire, I will give the Kodak to my wife.

No lense yet for the new Canon, but I will post a lot of pics once I start using it. In the meantime, here are a couple of pics I took with the Kodak yesterday; one a rather haughty looking female House Sparrow, the other my Catahola Leopard dog, Lucky. Yes, those are the natural appearance of his eyes and are NOT reflections. Catahoulas have some of the wierdest eyes in the dog word. My grandson, his owner, says they glow in the dark (they don't). I call him the Hypno-dog.
