looks real good dodge.
now im wondering something.
i have 2 colombines planted from root stock and they took a couple years
to actually bloom. thier first blooms were always pale yellow.
the first one to bloom was pale yellow the first year and was multi colored the next year(kinda pinkish red with a bright yellow center).
the other took 3 years to actually bloom(grew foilage the second year but didnt bloom).its first blooms were again pale yellow but a second bloom on the same plant produced multi colored, again red and yellow flowers but the red was more rich,in the same year, and at the same time. is this normal?
im kinda puzzled by this. the plants really dont semm to be doing all that well
but i have been blessed with many blooms this year. they are just about done so i cant supply pictures, just find it odd about the colors changing.

Dont Panic on that .
When you plant columbine seeds, they take 2 years to bloom.. First year it just has leaves.
So if you was seeing one with out blossoms, it is still an infant and will be the bloomer next year......
I am only guessing, but think you are getting a different flower not the same one with different colors.. I think.....I never watch them that close.
This time I have purples, pinks and even white.

My method is ; if your planting seeds this year , put them where the old ones are ......I just planted some amongs the flowers, just droped them there.
I notice they like semi shade ......ONe has afternoon only sun.

Hope this helps.
I like them thumbup

Of course not. I was just being silly. neener

I use pipe tobacco on stings. Works GREAT!! It doesn't have to be fresh either. I have a package of pipe tobacco from years and years ago that a friend left here. That's what I use it for. Fortunately, I've only had to get into it twice. grin Just pick a pinch, dampen it, and slap it on.

No Maudy Grossing for me. rspb It's getting too dangerous. And I can't believe it myself, but I've never been to Mardi Gras.

she loves mudd, you'd never believe this little sweet acting nice polite child could get that dirty. This is one of my favorite pic's I keep it and when her teachers tell me how clean and nice she is at school, I'm like oh no...she's a completely different kid at home.
