It opened just this morning. I didn't plant it. The BIRDS did. They knock a lot of seed out of my feeders to the ground which usually sprout. I just let it grow for the Goldfinches to eat later in the Summer. They are adorable eating the seeds our of the sunflower heads. Kingdoms RAGE and go to war...but the PEasants plant potatoes.. EARTH FIRST! (we'll strip-mine the OTHER planets later.)

I pull the same caper for the love of birds....Some come back yearly in the beds and I let them grow just to see the birds fight over the harvest . All these flowers only last 1 day - such a shame! An un-named daylily Stella D'oro lily And last but definitely not least... a prickly pear cactus bloom.
