okay so I know being pregnant isn't really a disability BUT my big ole' belly will be getting in the way... once it gets big :) I was wondering what any of the garden ladies have done to accommodate their rise into motherhood with regards to gardening. I certainly can't leave DH to actually do it, they'll die.
It has been more than 14 and 16 years since I last gardened while pregnant. But other than being a little slower, I didn't make many accommodations. The exercise is very good for you, before and after birth. It is after when it got tricky. I hauled my babies around in a stroller and kept them close by. I live on the side of a mountain so parking that stroller in a safe place was paramount. But it was all good for all of us. And not too hard to do.

I did that 14 years between my. But I just did everything a little slower, up and down gets kind of rough when your 37. Just don't over do, that's what I did and ended up on bed rest (or was suppose to be on bed rest)
I try to take one day at a time -- but sometimes several days attack me at once. -Jennifer Unlimited- Yard Update -April 2012
about the only thing i did differently was something i'm using again now. it was too hard to get up and down off the ground, so i kept a kitchen step stool, one of the little rubbermade ones. works great.
I was aged 40 and 43 with my last two. I figured all of the exercise I could get was good for baby and me. I didn't then and still don't get down on the ground much. I do a lot of bending and deep knee bends. Nowadays, getting up off the ground, even un-pregnant, is much more difficult than it was in my youth. So are the deep knee bends.
