Spider not works great but I haven't seen it on the market in years. I suggest using rubber gloves and wearing a long sleeve shirt when you spray it.

I'm so afraid of spiders I order six cans the first time I ordered it. Which is why I lost track of where I ordered it from. I didn't need more all the time I lived in that place.

I would suggest using their "contact us" information and asking them about the affect on plants. I wasn't into gardening way back then so I don't have a clue. But it is a very good question. And yes that is the stuff. I see their price has went way way up since the old days.

Are you sure they are black widows? It is strange that they would be making the nests in an area like that. They tend to like hot dry areas. If so malathion will knock them right out as will most insecticides. Just follow the directions on the label.
I will include a good link to help you to see if they are actually black widows.

Yes, they tend to favor darker, dryer places. Any insecticide will kill them. They are ultra vulnerable. I even did them in with hair spray when I was out of bug killer.

Just give them alot of sun and they should be fine. But will have to bring them in when it turns cold.
