as a last resort, my aunt asked that we keep her dogs this weekend while they went out of town.
Our chocolate labs - two females. the one with the collar and leash is alpha, she wants to put these ankle bitters in their place. the big 'polar bear' in the back ground could care less as long as you stay away from her food.

sometimes the male dachshund can hang out with 'polar bear'. polar bear doesn't care as long as she gets to lay on the vents.


OK..........NO one can get along! big dogs inside! little dogs chained up with no where to go! that'll teach ya!

I thought I'd have more pic's to share with this weekend adventure, but now were just keeping them seperated. why stress everyone out when the little dogs are only going to be here a few days. I'll at least try and get one pic of the little male dogs face close up. he has one brown eye and one blue. he's a real sweetie, but the girl 'rat dog' is crazy! he he

are the daschunds too aggressive for the labs? That's what happens at our house.

It's only the female daschund that is a problem now. the male has adjusted. that female needs some valume! she growls and barks at our labs, inside of their home!,...I'm so proud of our dogs for their patients, but a dog can only take so much crape. when we let her outside she barks at the sun. I'm not kidding, she barks at the sun! this dog is very vocal and nervous! at this point, the female we keep in her kennel out in the living room with all of us, so she isn't isolated. and when she needs to go out for fresh air, and tinkle time, we carry her out then put her on a leash. (where the male just comes and goes with our dogs in and out as he pleases) tomorrow is last day with our guest. I'll try and get some pic's. probably not the pic's together with our bigs dogs that I had intended in the first place , but I see some of you are following this thread so I'll post ya some cute ones!

small dogs, especially females, tend to be vocal. some of them do need a volume control

a small rubber band around the nose might have worked very well!
well, they are gone and I'm glad the responsiblity of keeping them alive is off my chest. been too busy today to get any more pic. it was fun though. but glad it's over.
