When I was eighteen, I didn't quite get away from one fast enough. WHEW!!! I think they are one of the prettiest animals in nature. Last year I saw one dead on the road that was totally white, except for two thin black stripes down its back.

The wild fires around here have toned down our skunk population. I'm glad. They don't eat plant material but they sure do mess up plants by digging around for worms and such. They tear up everything in their paths. They are beautiful animals.
