Downright pretty.......Did you notice if you pick some of them for a vase, they just droop something terrible.....Guess they're born to be wild like me........LOL

Diane, I love that peppermint portulaca.

That lupine leaf with the raindrop should be in a magazine.

It is cool looking. I've noticed that rain drops collect like that on only the Lupine leaves. I wonder why? It looks like a diamond floating against the leaves.

Rain sticks to elephant ear's leaves as well. I think it's any leaf that has fine hair (feel woolly) and if the leaf has creases that direct the water towards the center

Any strawberrys there, growing? I love wild and tame.

The wild strawberries are green, they'll be ready in two weeks. My tame ones are only starting to flower right now.

Yup, I make jam. Grapes won't over winter here Dodge. I've tried many times, the vines die by the next spring. So no need for an arbor.

Yup, I have yellow, red and black raspberries. My black berry bush died though this past winter as well as my gooseberry bushes. Oh well. I make lots of different jam and jellies. Never tried grape jelly making yet though.

What other kinds do you make?

I make anything I can. Last year I made Strawberry, raspberry, gooseberry, blackberry, peach, plum, apricot and currant jam. Alot of jelly's as well. If it is pickable or really cheap...I'll bottle it

I made marmalade with my grandmother once, I don't like it. I also make rhubarb jams with her....I don't like them either.

I like using pectin for tame berry jam though, sets better.

Texas Star Hibiscus took longer than usual this year to bloom Probably because we've had a very very dry spring and now this summer doesn't look like it's going to rain here for a while that will do any good,, But at least 'She's' Blooming!!!

The peppermint portulaca is simply beautiful!!---I have not ever seen the varigated or 'striped' portulaca before.
