It's a very humid cloudy day here, but no rain yet. It was so very hot yesterday, and the field house at the community college where Amy's high school graduation was held last night is not air conditioned. At one point when they were calling up all the kids to get their diplomas, I really thought I would pass out. I had meant to take some mints or gum just for that reason, but in our rush out the door I forgot. My clothes were totally stuck to my body from sweating those 2 hours!!!
What is everyone up to today?
I need to take Amy to the eye dr. this afternoon. Otherwise I am laying low today - too much running around yesterday and last night!
Morning everyone, We had some really nice and welcome rain showers yesterday. I hardly know what to do with myself with no watering to do. I pulled up the rest of my dying cucumbers this morning, chopped them up slightly and added to the compost. then I started a new compost bucket. now i'm draining our 4 ft above ground pool. the pump is still down since hubby has been working 6 days a week, he really hasn't felt like tearing down the pump on his day off to work on it. I really should learn how to do more of that kind of stuff. anyway, if it ever finishes draining i'll fill it up so we can take a dip over the weekend. gotta get a shower in a few and go to town.

Hi there, watered my bed in front of the house last evening and forgot to turn off the hose. It ran for 3 hours, how embarrassing. Did make a pan of lasagna this morning and may freeze it until my daughter comes from Florida. Hope it will turn out OK. Saw this on TV, instead ricotta and cottage cheese make a white sauce and layer. Should be not so dry and it is also cheaper. Tamara you are always so busy, although I do not sit still either. Will take my little granddaughter to the secondhand store and try to find tiny baby clothes for her doll. We also will get the movie Annie, I always sing to her The Sun WILL COME OUT TOMORROW. Heavy rain broke out in our area around 5 and it is still going strong!
I had a lovely day today, I really did.
First, I got a call from my dear friend in CT and we stayed on the phone laughing and chatting for about forever. While we were still at it, I looked up and my best friend locally was standing on my porch! So, I went from one friend to the next! Still in my flannel nightie, doing laundry and dishes, my girl in and out -- none of that mattered. The whole morning put me in a good mood for dialysis and when I got home, Maxi was here!
So, I'm thinking tonight how lucky we are to have dear friends.
Merme
We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
Ohhhhhhh Merme Sounds like a refreshing lovely morning!!!!! Don't ya just love it when your day starts out so good with special friends and ends with your favorite person in the whole wide world right there with you!!
