He actually started out making noise in the front of our house in the bushes somewhere earlier this week, but since last night has moved to the pond - smart move! He was so very loud in the heavy rains last night, and most of today. We had some nice conversations while I was planting out there today, but whenever he noticed me, he'd stop making noise. Tonight I went outside while talking on my cell phone, and was going to sit on the arbor bench but it was still wet from all the rain. I was about to walk away when I noticed the frog/toad(?) on a rock right in front of me! Boy did he scare me - I didn't expect to see him right out in the open like that, as he was very quiet and did not move. And he blended in with the rock perfectly! I ran inside to grab my camera and he was still there fortunately. Anyone know what he is? Then, when I was going to go inside, I noticed this spiderweb shining in the spotlights out there - cool! Anyone know what kind of spider it is from looking at the web?
