I would like to know how to determine what is eating my plants above ground such as my squash plant. There wasn't any buds yet but now my whole plant is gone except the stem. It wasn't very big yet. It had several shoots of leaves. My cantaloupe plant had formed a fruit on it and after a couple of days it had been eaten off along with some leaves. That plant is still alive. We live out in the country in Eastern Washington. We do have a bunch of gophers but I thought that they only pull plants from underground. I sure would like some help on this, please.
