The Aliens have left the building and they all headed off in different directions.....
Oh ohhhhhhhhh....
Diane, you didn't have enough rocks to fill your box so I am adding a few of my own favorites (they will be the shiney ones) The Great Council of gnome held a special meeting and unanimously voted to entrust the care of the gnome Stone of Learning to the elders and scholars of the Rock Tower Village. The stone is over one million years old and as you study it, you may learn many secrets about Cedar Hill as it was back in 1,000,000 BC It's fragile and it is definitely a one of a kind!
OMG Bill!!!! * Wiping misty eyes* GrandPooBah will be Humbled to have such an historical Stone entrusted to the Rock Tower Village,, ( We'll just surprise him! Mum's the word ) it will be regarded with honors and will have a special place to be displayed,! I have a feeling I will be learning a lot from the gnome Stone as well,,
Your awesome Bill!!!!
"Grace without perfection is more to be desired than perfection without grace."
I am in such awe--Bill--such a wonderous thing to entrust to the "Rock Tower Village". Your generosity is unequaled. I cannot wait to see where they display it--and you will be rewarded i am sure.
Diane--I am betting that the Vilage and all its inhabitants are going to be so surprised.

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
Opps !!!!!!! ,,,,,,,,,, My apologies Wild Willy I haven't seen you around here for a bit , But I know you still know all and see all! . ... and I stand corrected,,
You're awesome Wild Willy!
Yep Carol a surprise indeed it will be !! It's possible it will be displayed inside, in not wanting to risk anything happening to the gnome Stone outside,

I know the guys won't appreciate this but you ladies will.... The restroom at The Melting Pot is a clean, modern and most gracious space.
The folded paper handtowels (heavy and soft) are folded in a basket...no paaper towel dispensers or blow dryers!! The trash goes in big, lined wicker baskets...the faucets etc. are a modern delight...flowers in vases....and sent sticks in a vase. The floor and walls, just great....All you ladies would enjoy going in there!!!
The experience of dining there was fun...A heating unit in the middle of table..they bring a hot pot to the burner and a tray of cheeses and spices, and mix them one at a time in the pot for you....then bring bowls and trays of breads, vegies, and apples to dip....then take that all away and bring a pot of cooking broth with a tray of different meats (we even had some lobster), to cook.....then they take that away and bring another pot of hot chocolate, you select which kinds you want, with a tray of cake bits, strawberries, bananas,.cheesecake even, to dip. I was sooooooooo stuffed. Oh, and I had a mixed drink called a Yin Yang....it was creamy with white and daark chocolate, melted ice cream and Baileys and a chocolate liquere. YUMMMMMMMY.
Then we walked to the falls!!! This falls into the river and is right in downtown Spokane. Took pictures, but that does not do the sight justice.
I leave here early in the morning and tomorrow night I will rest, but Thursday I will download my pictures and start posting some.
Sounds like you had fun Shirls!! We have a Melting Pot here but not near my house so I have not been to it. I will definitely have to try it out. I have heard good things about it!! Have a safe trip home and rest up!
Sounds like a very yummy dinner, Shirley! I once went to a friend's house and had a dinner just like that - first the cheese fondue, then the oil and meats, and then the chocolate! We all rolled out the door after eating all that!
I'm so glad you got to see some more falls. Can't wait to see all your pictures!
Hey Rumor.........Tell CIndy we had a black out on here last nite..James was googling in the Hostess Pit......He is madly in it for our girls......He likes girls photos .....send some.

Well I'm Not Cindy or Shirls BUT I've talked to Shirley and she is still regrouping, and will be posting in the next day or two,,,,, in the mean time here is a video of Lola In the beginning of this Video I believe Shadow is yawning and then Lola calls him,, " Come here .. come here boy" and then a subtle low he he he.. and whistles,, your volume has to be up pretty good to hear her talk

I always enjoyed hearing about Fred's Shed, and one day Diane and I walked through the woods to see it. I thought it was so cool!!! The forest is creeping up on it and I loved the large slabs and patches of moss on the roof!! I would have liked to look inside but the weeds were pretty high all the way to the steps. We were both afraid there would be snakes!!!

Fred lost his sight (85%) and has several other health problems that make it very hard to come to Cedar Hill any more. The last time I visited him, I begged him to come up just to hear the birds sing again..... for a day, for a week or forever.... He refused... Fred still lives in Seattle. I miss him a lot every summer...
Here is the Hummingbird House from first pulling into the driveway. This is what I first fell in love with when I joined the forum, and the first thing I read about and copied (Wild Willies story of building it!)
I felt so agitated inside, I don't know if I was moving or not, but I felt like I was wanting to get out of the car and run to it!! I was going...'OH, OH, OH!!!)
Here was the front. I love that Honeysuckle roof!!!!!
And I think this picture kind of shows how it 'feels' inside; secluded and cool, relaxing and still.
