Hmm...when I google 'butterfly orchid' that isn't what I find. It looks a lot like a scented geranium (pelargonium). Where did you get it?

Found it! It's actually not an orchid per se, but a plant called Schizanthus, aka. Butterfly Orchid or Poor Man's Orchid. Very pretty! I want one.

Hello Dodge - the image of the plant Butterfly Orchid is wonderful - I would really like one of these in my garden I must search and see if I can find one here in the south of UK. A plant must have I think. I am assuming it likes hot dry conditions is this correct?

PS How does one upload images on here? Must they be hyperlinked to ones own webpage?

First Welcome to garden helper..Nice to get your input so far away.
Second ......I am in a cooler part of usa......zone 5 if you know what that is ..
I have winter.
I just received this in april .seeds .. It is in a flower pot and I dont know A thing about it...... I dont have seeds yet either.
