A mule has a donkey as a father and a mare as a mother. Mules are sterile they can neither father offspring nor be a mother. The only way to get a mule is to breed a male donkey or Jack, to a female horse or Mare.

I've worked with Mules and Horses for most of the first half of my life. I've owned three horses and have boarded about ten others. My neighbors had lots of mules that they ACTUALLY used in their farming. They would plow, plant, and harvest using the mules and also had the mules to pull wagons for them.

Amyone remember this song??? I thought of it immediately when I read Thorny's posts! lol why

Quote
A mule is an animal with long funny ears
he kicks up at anything he hears
His back is brawny but his brain is weak
he's just plain stupid with a stubborn streak
and by the way if you hate to go to school
You may grow up to be a mule

Oh would you like to swing on a star
carry moonbeams home in a jar
and be better off than you are
or would you rather be a pig
