Johnny has decided he wants a web page on google so if people are looking for a plumber in the Charlotte area his name and page will come up. Who do we contact about this? I guess we will need a web or page designer - I have no idea. He has a yellow page ad but people don't use the yellow pages like they used too.

Business cards can be a good idea. I have gardenhelper cards and I pin them to the walmart board when I go in. It works, people take them.

Not sure how to go about buying a website though. I got a free one with my verizon and I can sell stuff on there if I want.

Although there are many sites that offer members the option of building their own pages for free, it is better for several reasons to go through a web designer if possible.

As I understand it, one of the necessities for having a page that people can actually find when they are searching is to have many connections to that page so the page comes up frequently during common searches. Those connections (as I call them) are done behind-the-scenes based on the network the page is attached to.

Many designers also offer extra features such as an oversight option so they will keep an eye on things for you and make upgrades as needed.
