My tomato plants were doing beautifully for the first month or so. I have about 12 of them in pots on my lanai and I have 6 of them out in the back yard. The ones in the backyard are now almost dead and have never really done well. The ones in pots on the lanai were doing great...potted in large pots in miracle grow, moisture control.
Then, we had two days of hard rain. Since then, there are 3 of the plants that have started to curl upwards (a lot) and turning yellowish in the centers. They also seem to have shrunk a bit. The weather here in Florida is somewhat overcast a bit in the summer, but they have gotten a bit of sun too.
I don't know what to do. Do they have a fungus? I've been trying real hard not to spray them with any kind of pesticide or chemical. What do you think they are lacking? Or is it too much water from all the rain?
Originally, I would just water them once a day, as they would dry out in one day. The temps are high here, but tomatoes have always done well on the lanai, under screening.
Thanks...
