the flat iron. The thing is lethal. Just take a look at my neck. I'm going to get a long extension cord and if someone breaks into my house I'm going to flat iron them to death.

I will not ask why you had an iron near your neck. I hope you heal quickly. Burns are darned painful.

tina, I believe a flat iron is used on the hair to straighten.

My neck has healed up nicely and it's not the first time I've done this. I'm not straightening my hair anymore.

Ahh-ha. They make tools for straightening hair now. They are a touch safer. My daughter has one and she already has straight hair.

I remember in grade school some friends of mine's mothers would use regular irons on their hair to straighten! talk about frieghting!

I haven't seen a flat iron that is touch safe. That's what I need.

I'm one of those people who ironed their hair... way back when...course it was below my waist at the time and I took care just to do the part I could really reach--- don't know why I did it though- my hair is straight all by itself- ... what we do as kids!

back in the day...even those with straight hair wanted it straighter!
then came the 80's... with the permed hair! ha ha are we never happy???

Awwwwwww Cindy--I am so sorry---but tht happens it seems----but ya know tht is th good thing about hair--it always grows back--hey perhaps it will grow back curly-----they say it can grow back in differntly if somethin like tht happens.


I was in a car wreck back when I was 20-1/2. My natural color of hair was a dish-water blond---kinda of a natural "greyish/brown" actually---well I had to have some surgery on my brain to remove a blood clot, so they shaved my head/-- Well when my hair grew back in it came in a regular brown color (yuk) and the new hair was also a bit coarser.

so we will hope your new hair comes in curly--OK???

I've heard of people loosing their hair from chemo and it came back curly or wavey. We better pray that Cindy's comes back straight or there will be another appliance to keep her away from.
