OK - who wants to start the new thread with more pictures?

Merme - I was wondering why your hair was so dark, when you wrote that you've never had dark hair - thanks for the explanation!

That was the queer part about wig shopping, Lynne! I went to several very reputable salons looking for a wig to match my color. The wigs made of pale shades either made me look elderly OR they looked obviously like a wig! I guess it just must be tough to come up with a believeable wig in blonde? why So I bought that one although it was far darker than anything I'd ever had naturally but it did match my eyebrows. And NOBODY ever guessed it wasn't real unless I said something or took it off. The baby pulled it off me once in public, so I always had to be lowkey about it. lol I told him it was Mama's "hair hat" and he should leave it on my head!

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart?
The other heart was given to another for us to find.

This is probably September of 1996. Maxi and I met up with his dad and best friend at Willard Beach, and Maxi wasn't quite a year old yet. I remember it as one of those very beautiful days in Maine; perfect for never wanting to leave the beach.

Jiffy ~ go eat something!

I love that picture of you at the Baptism, Jiffymouse. It is wonderful.

Cricket ~ I couldn't see the backgrounds of your prints, so I can't say for sure what is there. But if Jiffy thought it was a Sonic, I'm guessing maybe it was a UFO.

Jiffy ~ go eat something!

Hey, did any of you see the pictures I posted of me 'n Maxi at the end of the last thread?

thumbup green houses thumbup yay!!! you've been a gardener from the beginning then clap

warning, next picture of me, over 30 years old, has a snake in it. if you don't like snakes....

but if you do, her name was bertha, and she was well over 6 ft. i don't remember what kind of boa she was, but she was really a nice snake. (as snakes go). she belonged to my great aunt who had an exotic animal & rehab license, and owned a literal menagerie.

ok, i hope i've written enough so that the squeamish can skip the pic.

here it is.

thanks sheri. bertha was the smallest of the constrictors they had. they had 3 pythons that made her look like a baby. they also had donkeys, turkeys, a sea turtle for rehab, a monkey, a pea [BLEEP], and Lord knows what else, i don't. but i love visiting grin can you tell? oh, and she also ran a ceramics shop lol

I'm stumped as to what got sensored?
oooohhhhhh..........just got it! never mind.
cool snake! I've never owned one, but had several friends that did. what a great place to visit, the great aunt with the rehab farm. and that one is big enough. can't imagine what the bigger ones looked like.

well, kinda....back in the day it was all fertilizers, chemicals...it was a way to make a living. hey, it put me through college!
anyways......I don't grow to feed the fam or make a living. it's a hobby. I grow organically now, which is a whole new ball game. So I'm still new at it. thumbup

Cricket I would never have guessed a greenhouse, but I was going to ask.

Jiffy I love snakes. I want to raise some kind of snake from a baby but I don't because I'm always going away somewhere and there wouldn't be anyone to take care of it!!

Well, my aunt said she found a pic of me and my father from 30 years ago. I can't wait to see it...I have no pictures of him. She said she'd drop it off on Tuesday...I'll definately post it.

My daughter has an obsession with snakes. I have a pic of her here with a friends. It is an albino python I think. It was so funny, she took a pic with it and it was so big it knocked her to the ground by wrapping her legs. Maybe I'll post that one in the critter thread.

Love the pics and I believe that looks like a columbian red tail you're holding. Very sweet snakes with mild temperments. My mom is supposed to be giving me some pics of me. When I get them I'll upload them. What a fun topic this is!

i don't know about the mild temperament Cheryl. Bertha was quite a handful, and if you showed any fear, she was like the dog who caught the person afraid. she got positively mean (well, not mean, so much as hungry) it seemed that the smell of fear made her hungry? why

Yup, that's the reason I get bitten all the time. I've had my share of dog bites over the years nervous ....an animal , no matter what the type just reacts to the smell of fear. Mind you. I don't know what is worse? a dog bite or a snake bite?

Had to have a perm back then! lol Haven't permed my hair since HS. Now I just color the heck out of it. I was very young in that SR picture because I was moved up a grade, and because they take them the summer before your senior year. So I was barely 16 when that was taken.
