I was shang-hied into a garden. I wasn't ready or prepared for one. Yet, I have a beautiful little plot in the very sunny back yard filled with plants. Having never actually planted a veggie garden I was not thinking. My zuke plants have grown to incredible stature. The leaves are the size of hub caps and have all but taken over the sunlight. My poor little cuke plant is trying so hard to reach the warmth. It has two small cukes on it, and do not want it die. I have researched that I can not trim or cut back any of the leaves on the zuke plants. Why? I have four plants altogether and don't really mind if one doesnt do as well as the others. Please advise: Save the cuke or spare the zuke?
Thanx
