Well let me tell you--it was plenty hot in TN this weekend.--heat registered at like 99, and I have no idea what the heat indices were.

My DH and I were at a flea market near Tiptonville-(we were at Reelfoot lake) this Saturday and I just about fainted dead away, when we went into a building to look.---Luckily I caught what was going on and called out to Rod.--he sat me down until I felt a bit better then he guided me to a food table and bought me some water and a cup of ice.---it was magic how much better I felt after the water.---We watched ourselves better after that for sure.

Today--Monday --I am told in mid-western Illinois teh temp is supposed to be at 99-100 today---Ouch!!!

been over 100 for most of the month of July and august has not started out any cooler. we're to see a 100 all week, my poor AC is running almost round the clock. I have to shut it off late in the day and just let it rest cause it's not cooling off, last night at 10 pm it was still in the 90's.

So far I haven't seen on the news where kids were left in cars yet, but Memphis is bad for doing it.

even yesterday when we went for outr wal mart run I told Ashley to leave her car door opened while her dad and I loaded the stuff in the trunk

I try to take one day at a time -- but sometimes several days attack me at once.

yes, hot hot hot and sticky. the same as yours exactly JV. 106-107 + heat index to 113 or 114. its 78 in the house, i don't think the ac has turned off in an hour and the patio with the misters going full bore is nearly 90. the pools a cool 83, so that's where I'm agoin'. the house is too cold, the patio is full of soggy doggies who don't want to stay in the house. they want to swim in the pool with us! i was going to mow, but its too stinkin hot now! awwwww.
dog days indeed! now i gotta go rescue water stuff again. i even had to move the geraniums into the shade, sheesh. this is not fun.
