My hosta's are coming up, it's their first year, anyway I was outside cleaning up today and doing some weeding and I noticed that there were some bites taken out of my hosta's already. There were no sign of slugs anywhere, just potato bugs and millipedes. Any ideas? Should I just let them be and see what happens. They are still growing nicely, just noticed that something had a little snack out of a couple of the leaves.

I use rough crushed egg shells around my hosta and nothing feasts on them. And it looks kind of nice with the white around the plants.

I understand your enthusiam but mine don't have any leaves on them yet. They just broke ground the other day. But as soon as they get leaves I'll let you know. They will probably look like the purple ones. But that is just a guess. I've never grown them before.
