Thank you Wendy. Since my car is junk now it was important to have a full backseat so we could take people with us. And the color was as important to Mark as the back seat was to me. lol

We're still loving it, still can't believe it's ours. thumbup

You know we were looking at S-10's because Mark used to have one and he loved it. And his dad has one with the full size back doors......but then we figured out that they get worse gas than his full size truck. Which is weird to me but I guess it's something to do with the weight of the engine or something. My brother explained it to me but I can't remember now. lol

Now Mark wants a hard tonnaeu cover for the bed. BIG BUCKS. I hope he doesn't think bargain shopper loz will be buying him that for Christmas. haha

Now Loz...now that he has the truck...he needs to update it thumbup

When we had our Ford Ranger, we got a cover really cheap...from a salvage yard for 'accident vehicles'. The truck we got it off had half it's front tore off but there wasn't a scratch in the cover. Do you have anything like that around????

Loz, our truck has a hard cover that is actually 3 pieces that latch in. I really like it. You can use 1, 2, or all 3, so if you just need to haul a skinny tall thing like a tree or something, you just have to take off one and it will store in the bed unlike the full sized hard ones where if you need to take it off unexpectedly you have nowhere to put it.

Some people have problems with these 3 piece ones leaking, but we are finding out the only time ours leaks is if there is crud in the seams....other than that, no leaks at all...and an easy fix. Just hose the bugger off and your good.

I was looking at the ones like that. thumbup Wondering how they worked out. Mark has his little heart set on one that's one solid hard piece that lifts up. The ones that are BIG bucks. lol haha

I have seen those....personally do not like them (only because of where we used to live, could tell ya in a PM). I do really like the kind we have. Each panel has a handle that you twist that makes it lock into place. Stephen's dad's folds....it is kind of nice and it is self storing. I like both of them just because they are super easy to take on and off and if we are somewhere and all of a sudden need the entire top to come off, its easy to do and you aren't stuck trying to figure out what the heck your going to do with the top (my mom ran into that problem once when she bought a dresser at an auction on a whim! lol )

I'm gonna have to look around. Might even end up with a soft top one like my best friend has for her truck....with the snaps. She's had it for years and loves it, but she said to me, just don't think that if you take it off in the winter you're getting it back on without a hair dryer. lol

It will really all depend on the price. And what we can afford. We don't really NEED one. But he wants one to make his truck look purty.

What brand Dodge? I was eyeing up a Futon tractor last month. What nice little tractors they are and a good price...well if one had the extra money to spare.

Oh my Loz, we had a snap cover one time. Just imagine our winters with a snap cover...it didn't work out well. You couldn't of snapped it with a heat gun let alone a hair dryer. lol

I've seen hard top covers made out of plywood, ratchet tie straps and hinges. You just staple vinyl material over and around them. Apparently they can be made for about $60....and they looked great.

Hmmm, Case rings a bell but I can't place it. I'm wondering if its the International IH-case?

either way...a new tractor is a wonderful thing.
