I knocked on the windowpane of the new CH's door, but there doesn't seem to be anyone home! There have been a few "peepers" though, but no "posters"!

Where is everyone today?

Hi Merme, I was running errands, grocery shopping, mowing my lawn, grabbed a shower then had to barbeque supper. I just finished the dishes and am sitting down with a cold drink...in a few I have to drive DD to a friends house. My day has been non-stop.

I tried for 30 minutes to get my lawn tractor going just a bit ago. It worked today than wouldn't go into gear...I dug at that for the whole half hour then DH comes out and say's did you check the wiring? geez, all it was was an unhooked wire. Sometimes I just assume the worse, I was getting ready to tear apart the transmission box lol

So here I sit to rest a few minutes.

he he he, tamara. I did something similar about a week ago. the little old car was running like a sewing machine. I checked the oil and it was fine. told hubby several times I didn't feel comfortable driving that car again until he could look at it. turns out, for some odd reason, the hood wasn't all the way latched! ha ha ha. It IS the simple things we overlook!
howdy merme. I've been in and out of the forums today mostly reading. just having one of those quiet days.
we have been getting some nice rain from the tropical storm. if only it could rain like this once a week.

Hi Cricket.

Today is the first dry day we've had in a couple of weeks. Mind you the grass was still wet when I mowed. calling for rain for the next 5 days again.

Rain what's rain? oh yeah I remember wet stuff from the sky- nope not a drop - lots of clouds but no wet stuff for us anyway- parts of colo are getting some just not us...
I did the same thing the other day with our cd player, loaded it up(holds5) turned it on and not a sound- kept pushing buttons but nothing worked- told hubby when he came home- went over ...pushed one button- speakers ,and there it was .... didn't even know it had a speaker button.... only had the stereo system for about 15 yrs now....LOL!
I've been in and out - mostly reading - had all 4 boys today- so had breakfast and lunch to give them- and Mom- Joe fends for himself.. well so did Joseph he made canned raviolis for lunch 2 cans and then ate pizza rolls too- kid has 2 hollow legs...
Well off to start making dinner... porkchope - baked and haven't decided what else...

Wow, I've been wiped out from all the company we had. After everyone left, I laid down finally and slept hard for a few hours. I feel much better and now I am ready to eat. The coffee is on!

Wow 24 days of no rain and high heat...we'd never see that here. Hope it breaks soon.

Rest up Merme kissie

Morning all, coffee is on and there's only boxed cookies for breakfast. I ran out of flour Monday and haven't gotten a chance to bake yesterday. So I picked up a box of pre-made chocolate chip cookies when I went for groceries....not my thing. They taste like sweetened card board lol Oh well, baking is on the 'to do' list today.

Hoping everyone has a great day planned.

Take it slow and easy in that heat Belinda.

No fear of having heat like that here...I'll be seeing snow flurries in two months.

Good morning, everyone ~

Belinda ~ I am glad you are finally getting some rain!

I'm tired and hungry and need to think about lunch.

I had a small mixup at my house today. I went to get dressed and discovered my last pair of clean shorts are missing! Where could they be? I wondered. Maxi accidently packed them to take to his dad's until Friday! lol

We had been doing our laundry when my family arrived from out-of-state and wanted to do a load of their own. So they took our stuff out of the dryer and folded it all, but mixed up who's is what and some of my things ended up in Maxi's room and he just packed his bag from "his" pile. Boy, is he going to be surprised when he tries to put them on!!

My girl laughed when she found my missing bra neatly folded among Maxi's socks. It's a good thing he didn't pack that too! He really wouldda been surprised.

Too funny, merme! I'm sure they were trying to do the right thing and fold all the whites together BUT.......... ha ha ha. sometimes other peoples 'help' just makes extra work for someone else.
anyone else having trouble this morning with the garden web pages? my computer will run everything else just fine, but keeps locking up when I hit submit on one of these forums. I end up having to shut down and restart the computer and oddly enough what I submit still ends up getting posted?
glad to hear so many of you guys got some much needed rain.

Hi everyone ~

It is good to have the forum up and running again!

When I came home from dialysis today, it was so dark and stormy that I decided to put on a pot of keilbasa/cabbage soup with noodles. I thought Maxi would enjoy it on such a raw day although I am pretty weary after dialysis. I had no sooner gotten most everything cut up and in the pan when Maxi arrived home carrying a piping hot pizza! He thought I would really enjoy not having to cook after dialysis! lol So, we ate the pizza and put the soup pot on the back of the stove to simmer for "later".

Now I really am going to go lay down for a bit.

Yes, it IS good to have the forum back up and running! I did a little watering this morning and now I need to catch a shower and get to town for a couple of errands. haven't gotten too much done in the last couple of days. I've been dealing with some nasty allergies or a head or something.
