I have a greenhouse azalea that I received as a Mother's Day gift and am trying to keep it going. So far it has been doing quite well with about 3 inches of new growth and dark green shiny leaves. The last week or so it has started dropping apparently healthy leaves to the point now that when I gently shake the plant it verily rains leaves. I can't find anything visibly wrong and have kept it watered well. It is in a bright area of the kitchen with only an hour or so of direct sunlight ea day.

Any thoughts?

i'm totally unfamiliar with trying to grow azaleas indoors as they are outdoor plants here. although i see them sold in pots as indoor plants. i think they just can't get enough light inside.
