I have a greenhouse azalea that I received as a Mother's Day gift and am trying to keep it going. So far it has been doing quite well with about 3 inches of new growth and dark green shiny leaves. The last week or so it has started dropping apparently healthy leaves to the point now that when I gently shake the plant it verily rains leaves. I can't find anything visibly wrong and have kept it watered well. It is in a bright area of the kitchen with only an hour or so of direct sunlight ea day.
I had two azaelia and the exact same happened to them, unfortuntaly neither recovered :-(, my mam also had one and yet again same story. Unfortunately I don't know any solutions :-(
i'm totally unfamiliar with trying to grow azaleas indoors as they are outdoor plants here. although i see them sold in pots as indoor plants. i think they just can't get enough light inside.
