The hummingbirds have spoken. I've cleaned, filled and put the feeders back to their original places. I'm not even hanging the beautiful one with the flowers like my daughter Ginger has in GA that she has to fill twice a week because the GA hummers LOVE it. I put the $16.00 yellow one back out because it's so darn cute. I guess my hummers don't have good taste.
Hummers, for SOME reason tend to prefer the cheaper feeders. Mine SWARM to my three 97 cent feeders, completely ignoring my large 4 port $4.00 feeder. I never spend a lot of money on feeders and even make some of my seed feeders out of scrap material.
Kingdoms RAGE and go to war...but the PEasants plant potatoes..
EARTH FIRST! (we'll strip-mine the OTHER planets later.)
The hummers are back and happy. I thought they had gone on to Mexico. Maybe it was too hot or too cold or too dry or too wet and they left. But no. It was that they wanted their feeders back in correct order. They're just like my children. If they don't get their way they pitch a fit.
I have one that comes around to tell me I'm the only person in the area that doesn't have a feeder for them. He wants to know if I prejudice. I have a feeder for the seed eating birds.
I keep telling him to wait until payday. Do you think he's getting my message?
my hummers are back, got to get more food mixed up for him before he decides to eat somewhere else, but too I have lots of flowers in tyhe yard he can eat from
