What a time waster .....I picked the berries, Hubby peeled them and did it al.

Wore rubber gloves so he didnt turn purple>LOL
I am going to taste it.

Are you kidding me? You PEELED eldeberries? Are you SURE that is what you had? You don't peel them, you just clean them up, heat them, put them in a juice bag and let the juice run and THEN make jelly. I cannot imagine what you were doing. They hang in clumps like grapes and are much smaller then a grape. You better be sure that is what you had. You realiaze that some berries can be poisonous.

OMG! Elderberry jelly is the best thing on the planet. I have a huge patch, but the birds eat 'em all before I can get any. I occasianally buy some from the Amish...try 'em on pancakes, and you'll understand what Heaven will be like.

Well, like I said, the birds always get 'em all, so I have to buy it, heehee. That's okay, I like feeding the birds, but here's a funny story...as a kid, my mom tried to make jelly, butt it wouldn't jell, so we had a couple dozen pints of elderberry syrup. We had the best pancakes on earth that year!
