I live in downtown and when we moved here 9 years ago there were NO crickets! No noise at night! it was sad. So...one day the hubby went fishing with crickets and brought back some and released them in our yard. Now we have the crickets along with the noise . I love it!

they look like zinnias to me too but what do I know.
I think you should enter the one with the grasshopper and moth in the photo battle with a title like "roommates" or "stop crowding me" or something like that.
Barb...I'd bet $100 that they are Zinnia's. I grow Zinnia's every year. Never seen a Marigold like them before. I've had those same pink and orange ones....
Hey I am on the wrong flower.. I thought you had the marigold .. Yes these are zinnias.. Will hunt the other to show you what I though tyou were lookin at.
Here is the one I thought you were lookin at ..
I am sorry.........I was on the wrong page.......this is marigold.

I tried too or rather asked Johnny to dig up the peony. Even after the rain we've had the ground is too hard. It's a shallow plant but he broke it off without getting any of the root. I also tried to dig up some cannas but couldn't get a root. It's just too dry here.
hey doge i spotted 2 monarch butter flys today! lol im keeping an eye on them all i need to do is get a good camera like yours and ill be able to battle you lol! (i don't see that happening my cam skills stink) but you got me into the butterflys! lol
btw nice marigolds sheri!

I watch the lil buggers out there daily.. I was picking chestnuts off the ground so the dang squirrels dont beat me to it. Hubbys delight ......I grew the trees from nuts......And they do bear..
