OK Now that I can post pics, I am going to pick your brains.
This I have always called a rose of Sharon, however I understand they are in the hibuscus family and Some look different.
This one has been here for nie years, since we bought this house, There was another variety that I lost a few years back, it had a more rose type flower and light pink in color, And it would get so many blooms it was weighed down. I lost it after wacking it back severly one fall.
I was told by a gardener I could. Anyway this one in the picture is a favorite with my hummers, I love it.
Should I prune it?? or just leave it be. ITs stil producing flowers.

can you do one thing for us? resize to 640x480? and yes, you can prune after blooming thumbup

i should have added, i cut mine back after all the leaves have died back too.

Agh I am so sorry, I just took it off the photobucket the way it was. Forgot to do it for bulletin board size.
egad So jiffy, is it a rose of Sharon??

you can resize it right in photobucket. it will automatically resize here when you do. after a refresh of course thumbup

i believe it it, but i'm going to zoom on the photo and make sure.
