I grew Angel Trumpet from seeds this summer. There are no more blossoms coming on them now but they have huge prickly seed pods.I know I have to bring them in now for the winter.Do I just bring them in and treat them like a house plant or do I have to cut it back. Also what do I do with the seed pods-do those just fall off?

I would wait untill the pods turn brown and begin to split, the set them aside somewhere to dry out,, it will take a least a couple of weeks then open and let the seeds dry out,, and waaaaalaaaaaaa more seeds for next year!! You being in canada will have to start them again next year from seed, They aren't hardy there,, you can try to bring it in and over winter it inside I've never tried that it would be interesting to see if it can be done,,,,,, please keep us updated if you decide to bring it in, * I take it you have it in a pot already??? * if you dig up from the ground the roots are probably well spread out,***** A note for next year,, If you cut the pods off after blooming,, it will bring more blooms from other branches thumbup ,,, I normally don't start saving pods until the end of the blooming season,

Hey Questbest, I'm in Toronto, and I can just toss the seeds in the spring and they grow fine and flower fine for me. You can toss them in the ground in the fall after the first hard frost and they should come up fine.

Helping the world one seed at a time

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant. Mary Ann LaPensee

Great-will try that-I am in Thunder bay. Also I noticed you were looking for some cotton seeds.Do you still want some?Suzydaze from Arkansas sent me some and I have them growing in my greenhouse. They are just making bolls now.It blows me away to have this growing in Northwestern ON,Canada.I have always wanted to go down south and see it growing in the fields. This has excited my family all summer to see it grow.
