My son in law works at Home Depot. I'm going to call him and see if they have any at all. Our Lowe's is usually pretty good, not as good as yours, but we're in a small town. But maybe Home Depot.....

My Hummer,I think it was Bubba, was back again this morning. I saw him briefly at the feeder but he didn't return. This may be his LAST appearance this year. I will TRULY miss him. His faVORITE PERCHING TREE IN MY YARD SPLIT DON THE MIDDLE LAST WEEK AND i THINK THAT SORT OF SPOOKED HIM.

More likely he's gone to Colombia or Venezuela. I believe that's where most Ruby-Throats go in Winter.

I STILL had one Hummer yesterday here in Tennessee, but it is only coming about once or twice a DAY instead of its earlier 20 visits an hour. Guess I'll retire the feeders for the Winter, soon.

I always leave at least one feeder up till mid Oct.
or 2 weeks after I have seen any activity. You alwats get the odd straggler that is slower or not as strong, and they appreciate the stopover!
I have 4 that I have seen today, 2 look new to me, very shy unlike the juveys that have been around.
I miss them so every winter!

yep--I too am only having a few each day--and they seem more interested in my flowers than my feeders....

I've still got a few here in NC. I leave a feeder up all year because I've seen 1 as late as December.

I've heard that too dodge but I've never known if it's true. Why would chocolate kill a dog when it would kill me not to have it?

I've never had a problem with my dogs eating chocolate, but I just give them tiny amounts. My bunnies like ANYTHING that has sugar. Rainbow LOVES grapes, but Two Bean Bags won't touch them.

Milk chocolate which is what most of us eat will not kill a dog, Know many of a dog who got into candy.
ITs Pure bakers chocolate that is really bad.
Dogs are great at getting into things that they shouln't, lol
But giving them candy is asking for digestive problems.
Hey Dodge, your pooch must have been lactose intolerant! grin
