How do you have that blue pot on that tree? I love cobalt blue. You have that blue gazing ball too don't you?

It's a 1/2 pot ~ hole in back for hanging,, and used a nail

yep I have a colbolt blue gazing ball,,,,, I love that color ,, I have a lot of that color in my kitchen

I have cobalt blue tile in my kitchen. Great minds.......

oh wonderful. That bird looks like he has cobalt blue feathers.

his/her back is a shimmery green and bluish color,, it's a beautiful HB I wish I could get a clear close up ~ this was taken thru the kitchen window

That looks to be a female Hummer. Males have dark throats, usually red, purple or orange, depending on what type of Hummer they are. That white throat means a female, although males do not get their full dark throats until one year after they are born, so they look a lot like females until then.

That is where we enter contests .Go see.

Those are spectacular flight shots! It's always good to get action shots when taking pictures of living creatures (and un-dead creatures, also). You have capured a family flock that will stay together all Winter and then break up to start NEW families next spring. They use the next boxes in Winter to get out of bad weather, so NOW is the time to put out Additional boxes and clean out the old ones. You need ONE box for every TWO bluebirds, spaced 300 feet apart so you will need to put up at least one more box from what I see in the pictures.

I put up another box today.....
Hubby seen them above our barn today again.. He said about 25 this time.
It is an old barn and we know the birds stay inside winters. It has that Bird hole thingy on both ends.......

Just when we were getting ready to go to supper at sons, the blue birds took on that display.. Gee are they fast.
