Ahhhhhhhh!

A new house - now I can start my spring gardening.

Yesterday, I officially started working on the front lot.

Cleaned a couple of feet in the rock garden.

I have some outdated flower seeds - some got sprinkled into the cleaned parts here. I don't expect anything from them, but give 'em a chance.

Did I move?

No . . . why would you ask?

Right now, just those out-dated seeds in - nasturtium, portulaca.

We've rained all day here - looks like we'll have a break for the late afternoon.

After supper, I might wander on out there and clean a bit more.

Someone brought a whole buncha' yellow kalanchoe - about 15 - so I had to make room in the office and lobby.

I put some of my pots of seed in breadbags, punched holes in it, and put them under the windowsill.

I have about 12 pots left - deadheads - I might just put them in the rock garden as I clean.

A few plants can go out there, I think. The primrose, for one. And certainly the bulbs that have already bloomed.

We got up to 17 celsius today and it was warm - the sweat was pouring off me when I went shopping.

................

It was around 12 celsius this evening . . . just perfect for working.

I got farther than I thought I would - started around 4:30 - finished up about 7:30.

Every year I say I'm gonna' get rid of this stump, but I just haven't the heart to part with it.

The 'spoon log'. Jeff put that in a few years ago - a little family of 'warts' which are some kinda' toadstools, I think, grows on the side of it. The log's falling apart now, but I think I can get one more year out of it.

I was losing the light when I finished up tonite. Moira brought me a pink hydrangea. I've left it in the pot so I can bring it in, if the temps drop on me.

I did do some of the slope - It's hard going; some of those leaves are frozen.

Tomorrow's going to a high of 12 - so I'll see what I can get done.

I'm still removing the composted leaves from the slope; messy, slow going work.

Won't be doing much tomorrow - a lunch date with my brother. And it's supposed to rain this weekend.

Just the same, got some gardening gloves at the dollar store - for a buck a pair, I can afford to chuck them out every ten days and get new ones.

Thanks, Jiffymouse . . . we've got some warmth here - but rain. Then mid-week, the temps will dip.

What I gotta' do this morning, is make sure I don't wear myself out at the computer, 'cause I don't want to be crawling back into bed - gotta' get out there and finish cleaning my slope.

Supposed to be raining, but I don't see the rain. This afternoon's cloudy with sun.

Oh, this is one long slow goin' job . . . I've got about half of it done.

Supposed to rain today, then get cold again for a few days. So I'm gonna' be frustrated.

Just have to think about something else, I guess.
