I've had one of those spiders outside my kitchen window for several months. The storms tossed her around the other day and messed up her writing but she hung on and has rebuilt.

December has been a year for my camera too and it's taken me that long to mess it up.

I saw a special on spider webs once...did you know that some spiders can make parts of their webs with a different kind of silk? It glows with black lights (I think). The people on the special were saying how the areas in the webs with this other kind of silk caught something like 75% of the spiders food as compared to the other kind of silk. I'm wondering if the more pronounced, thicker white silk area in this web is that kind of silk?? very interesting.....I still don't like spiders.
