My first bud on my Stapelia a friend gave me last year . Hope it blooms before I have to bring it in for the winter have seen photo's of the bloom very pretty but from what I am told smell leaves a lot to be desired. Here are 2 shots of the same plant.





There is another bud forming next to this one.

Dang Jimmy I didn't know you had that plant I can't wait to see the bloom! If you ever want to divide it I know a really good home that will adopt it

I thought you had seen it before. This is one Carolyne gave me last year. I can divide it as soon as it blooms out.

Dodge had posted her somewhere on here a little over a month ago,, did you see it??

No I didn't see it. Will try to find it.

I brought it inside, and it now has 2 more buds on it .. First time it did more than one...............
Wait till you feel the bloom . You will think it is a human hand or something.
Scarey in a way.

My plant is skinny now, I gave away so many cuttings.. I did discover it bloos on the young plant parts.

I think Jims flower will be larger.. Mine was last year.

Very cool.. I knew it was about ready.. Isn't it amazing how it starts out?
Doesnt it feel like a human flesh?

Does it smell much?
I am nosy.
I thought it was mine at first.. The young parts get the bloom.

Dodge it does feel like flesh and mine has no smell. I was picking peppers and happened to look over and there the bloom was.

Really thick skinned......It reminds me of sewing.. Put the picture out to Embroidery.............If you know what that means..LOl
Glad yours bloomed.

The bloom lasted about 2 days then it shriveled up. Hope I get another but the other bud is gone.

Mine only would bloom one time a year.. One flower.

Now I see 2 buds if they dont fall off..
