Boy, Dodge---thanks for posting your grapes. It6 brought back some very nice memories for me.
My Grandparent's had a grape arbor in their yard, and grnadmother made lots of grap jelly every year.
The neighbor, who had been born in Italy, always came over and took care of the vines each year.

Nice work, dodge. I can see you have an idyllic lifestyle there!! Do you have many problems with pests or diseases with your grapes? My parents have vines in Perth, but they've had some problems with the vines withering; I think it's caused by some kind of blight.

We have a grape vine out in the field but they're so full of seeds it's impossible to eat them. You're fortunate. I love grapes.

Stevie Our biggest pest is the Japanese beetles, they eat lots of holes in the leaves. Guess it didnt hurt production.. Some folks spray everything.. we stary Organic and suffer..LOL They say the older the older the vines the sweeter the grape. Bestofour...... What is this field you refer to ? Do you have more land behind the house/ b

Dodge, I have jsut gotten back to your thread. that is a very nice arbor. Thank you so much for the photo. :ding: I so wish you did not have the beetles. But I am glad they do not effect your fruit. They ruined my wonderful growth of blackberries, and leaves on my vines when we were back at the farm. I had not berries that year---it was so sad. I want to put some new berry bushes out here, but i do not want to bring in the beetles.
