Pouch lager! Actually, I don't get close enough to them to offer them beverages. Best to stay away from the big ones. A jogger was attacked recently by a large roo in our town; ended up in hospital (probably would have been okay if he'd offered him a beer) . Anyway, you guys have heaps scarier critters over there. I saw a documentary about a bloke in Alaska who goes out and pats the bears in the woods. He was still alive at the time of the documentary, but I think the camera operator may be undergoing counseling!

You'll be pleased to know I have taken some photos of our magpies with my clunky old camera- it's so last century- the film is in getting developed. Haven't taken any shots of the roos yet, but I will make that my mission. Should do a documentary about a bloke in Australia who pats the roos.

Hubby caught our cows drinking beer the other day.. We didnt know that.

I agree we have lots of things that are wild and dangerous.
I met 3 bears crossing the highway when on a bicycle ride.. Oh my gosh was I scared......I think I had a speed record pedaling home.

No never trust a wild animal....I dont even trust our tame cows.. And I am a farmer all my life..

It's true, cows don't mind a beer. I hope your cows are on the wagon now! When I lived in Darwin quite a few years ago, there was a drinking competition at the Humpty Doo pub, about 30km out of Darwin. The humans didn't stand a chance in the competition, because one guy had a pet water buffalo, and he could drink 2 litres in a few seconds!

Did the buffalo get drunk?

That I'm not sure of, dodge, but those water buffaloes would need a lot of beer to get them drunk.

Yes, I reckon you would have been setting some records the day you saw the bears! It's probably funny in hindsight, but you must have been petrified at the time! I think I would have given up cycling for life.
