I recently got married and now have a big backyard. One of the plants is a butterfly bush. I have researched how to care for it and prune it BUT I need to know if I can use the dried seeds to start new bushes. Any ideas.

Yes, the seeds can be used to start new bushes. Some varieties more easily than others. They will also start from cuttings, I think these grow and bloom a little sooner.

I have three in my garden as a backdrop and they have reseeded themselves. I have little butterfly bushes coming up all over the place!
