someone mentioned using a quilt for a curtain. This is how I did it.

Wont work here my windows are skinny.......Hubby likes to look out each window.

No, I didn't make that quilt, just added the tabs at the top. I like to look out the windows too so I push it back in the morning. I only close it at night.

Cute idea! Just make sure the backing of that quilt isn't something that you will want to stay the same color.....it will fade with the sun hitting it. One of my favorite quilts has really faded because the sun came in and hit it while it was on our bed. I was a little bummed out when I realized it, but quilts are made to be used....and used it is. :)

I have 4 quilts--one I use and 3 that are folded up and kept stored

Do you use blankets under the quilts?

when I use them it is jsut as spreads.

I have many blankets and several comforters that we can use as heavy blankets as well

well even if you didn't actually make the quilt, you did make it into a curtain and it was your idea. and also, it is such a bnice idea.--and quite beautiful. it reallly adds to the room.

that is the pink room we painted because Darbi's favorite color is pink. I'm getting ready to change to some type of yellow or beige or vanilla wafer though. It's been pink long enough.

I use quilts all the time. We have several.
