Maddie needed a nice warm winter hat, so I made one for her lastnight. Here she is trying it on for the first time. It was a little big, so I tacked it a little in the back to make it fit better...I'll put a picture of it fitting better here also...

before tacking the back

OK, the hat fits much better now that it has been tacked.....of course she wouldn't hold still for a good pic, but you get the idea.

grin I don't know which is cuter, the hat or Maddie.

But I have to say, I think Maddie wins, hands down. ((it is a cute hat though))

Yup! He will get a hat...I just haven't made it yet. Perhaps tomorrow, but I am not sure. They are going to Gramma's tomorrow evening and staying there until Saturday so that we can remove a wall in the kitchen without worrying about them inhaling dust and crud.

Goody. and you will learn that I am a patient person. Take your time, do what needs to be done first.--Winter has barley begun--there will be plenty of time to make Like his hat yet.

You and the kids will be better off if they are not there while you do the work on the kitchrn wall. You'll let us know about how that is going too, right???

yup....we usually take pictures as we go when we are doing work on the house. :) I cannot wait to get rid of this wall!!! I need to empty the pantry cupboard that is on that wall...we are going to try to get it off in one piece and move it to our utility room so that I still have a good sized indoor pantry. We have out outside closet that all of the freezeable stuff...like paper towels and tissues and the sort go in, but I really need somewhere to be able to put stuff that freezes inside. I've already completely filled the shelf that is above where the basement steps are supposed to be (we took out the steps! lol )
