Hi and Welcome RChatty wavy grin

Yep it's a philodendron , very easy to grow doesn't like direct sun,, Pinch back runner in spring from the center of the pot if you want it bushier,, if you have a large space between leaves on the runner cut off in the space back closest to the last leaf and root cut off runner in water and place back into pot or start a new one, Too much water will turn leaves yellow and they will drop,, don't let dry out completely,,

Thank you much. I have 2 of them and haven't had a problem getting them to grow. I just water them when I remember. Usually about once a week. They haven't been having any new growth for a while. Is there some sort of plant food I should give them to boost their growth? Or is this normal?

BTW, they are about 1-3 feet away from a window and never get any more sunlight than that.

In the winter I wouldn't feed them anything,,,,,, But come spring I would give them even ###'s like miracle grow or something simular 20-20-20 numbers,, probably once every 6 weeks in the spring and summer,,

Hmmm...I am a little lost. What do you mean by 20-20-20 numbers? I have never done anything more than water any of my plants. Never fed a single one of them, so I am a little lost on that one. I just want to get them a little more healthy looking. They live in an office with full spectrum fluorescents (5000K).

commercial fertilizers have numbers on them that say what kind they are. either even numbers like diane mentioned, or the first or center will be higher. that is because each of the numbers represent an element that helps a particular part of the plant grow. even numbers help the whole plant grow. (by even, i mean all three numbers are equal)

Miracle grow has numbers,, Fertilizers come with 3 numbers: N-P-K such as 10-15-10, or 15-30-15. The latter, is a very common flowering fertilizer formula (including miracle grow, etc).

The N-P-K numbers indicate the amount of nutrients in the fertilizer. A 5-10-14 fertilizer thus contain 5% nitrogen, 10% phosphorus, and 14% potassium. The fertilizer ratios are always listed in the same order: N (nitrogen) - P (phosphorus) - K (potassium).
because your philodendron doesn't bloom a good even numbered fertilizer will be good,,,, giving it healthy leaves and stronger growth,

miracle grow comes in different numbers for different plant types, so Look for "House Plant " fertilizer,, in any fertilizer you choose for foliage plants growing inside,

Ivy doesn't need a lot of nutrients and looking at yours, your doing just fine with what your doing. You could put a bit of fertilizer on them in the spring if you wanted, but I don't see the need. but, hey!......you just learned a bit about fertilizer numbers. thumbup nothing wrong with that!

pothos is in the epipremnum family, not philodendron family.

two different species with similar growth habits and growing requirements.

neither are ivy.

Hey! My grandmother has one of them. It got huge...really huge. It looked to be around 15 feet long, and so she recently took a few cuttings and then threw the big stuff away. Now the cuttings are two feet long each. She grows them on top of her refrigerator, gets moderate sunlight. I believe she grows them in vases with water, and water only.
