Since I'm up early I might go to moms for a few eggs and coffee!
This morning is Athena's first day of school here at her old school. She'll be staying here until at least after the holidays while my sister moves and gets a few things in order.
I really should go back to bed....I'll be dead tired in an hour or two.
Oh and our high today is like 25 degrees! How much fun is THAT?
I wonder if I should run to moms in my PJ's and robe or if I should get dressed? It is only 50 steps. Mom has run over here in her robe before, knowing my luck that's when 8 million cars will go by!
Run as quick as you can in your pj's & robe, loz. Have a good breakfast!
My silly phone woke me up way early.

We were given two hands to hold, two eyes to see, two ears to listen & two legs to walk. But why were we given only one heart? The other heart was given to another for us to find.
I'm not sure what woke me early. I could still get a half hour but I am up now. Good morning. Today I get to go to work. And maybe a feast at Teddy's school. That will be a very good day. And it is much cooler today so altogether a great day beginning.

Glad you had a good breakfast with Mom. I cooked today for myself and it was yummy! I usually save the big breakfast cooking for when Maxi is here but I was in the mood this morning.
Hi there Tina.

There are 7 guys in Wyoming....5 of them got deer....as of last night anyways. Not sure if they were going to hunt this morning before they came home. James did get a deer out there and if you remember he got one in September. He can still bow hunt here but slug hunting is done here. That was Nov. 8th - 16th. I wish your DH luck!! Hopefully he gets something so you get lots of meat!! We still have meat left from last year and now he has gotten 2 deer this year!! I made that roast which helps get rid of a big chunk of it. That reminds me...I was going to post that recipe! I need to do that!!
I'm glad James has had such good luck, Jess! That meat will be a big help. He's been gone a long time, though. Have you special plans for his homecoming?
Hope Rod has success also Carol Jean.

Well he wasn't supposed to come home until tomorrow night so I thought on Saturday I would make a ham and mashed potatoes and all of that and it would be his first big meal since he got home but since he is coming home today that doesn't really work because I have to work tomorrow (considering taking the day off though ). So...I am going to make tater tot hotdish tonight if he is home in time for dinner or I will make it for dinner tomorrow and we will still have the ham on Saturday. Other than that, I don't have any big plans. I should go home after work and pick the house up a little though.
Jessica--sounds like you are all set meat wise. That is a good thing.
I will be sure to go check out the recipe.--Rod tell me if he gets one this year he will be butchering it himself.--if so I will have him leave me a roast or some stew meat so I can try you recipe.

Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain!! .....
I will post the recipe tonight! It was a big hit!! My BIL told me that it was the best venison he has ever tasted. It was the first time I had used this recipe so I was happy it turned out so well!!

I'm glad James got a deer! Mark insists he's hunting tomorrow! The high tomorrow is 24 degrees with 1-2 inches today, 2-4 tonight, and 2-4 tomorrow night. I think he's nuts, I told him he'll get sick going out in that freezing cold.
I bet you'll be glad to have James back!
I'll pass on the coffee too!
Guess I missed Carol and Hadeda..........Merme too. I broke down and turned the heat up! It's COLD out there. Of course I'll regret it when the gas bill comes.
It JUST now started snowing! I kind of hope we get a bunch and Mark doesn't go tomorrow. I never see the man on weekends anymore.
You would love my weather too. Loz. It is low 80's out there. I worked and went to Ted's school for a feast and am home early. It sounds like nap time to me.

YES! I really do want it! It's below 30F here right now.....
Tina, I'll take your weather too.
Hope your pic does well!
The snow is picking up a bit now.
Athena will be home soon from her 1st day of school here. Then I'll get coffee, Lord knows I need something. I'm running on 4 hours of sleep and I never did nap.
I had an appointment and then I had some calls to make but I'm still here.
I'm trying to figure out about Christmas for Maxi.
Mark ~ I like reading about where you live or seeing it on TV but I'm glad I live where I do!
Loz ~ I'm glad you are keeping warm.

I just don't know, Merme. The only thing that John has been able to keep down today is apple pie of all things. I went to a feast at Ted's school (at 10 am) for breakfast and lunch. But I am getting a little peckish and was thinking the same thing; What's for dinner?

oops, sorry Tina! I only made one serving and then I ate it! If you are really starved, I probably can whip up some more, though...
I'm glad Maxi is coming home tomorrow night. It has seemed long since he was here.

I think of Franny often and wonder about her as well. I plan on writing her a regular postal letter over the holidays.
You've never had alfredo?! Sheri, that sounds odd to me!
