Hello to everyone. This upcoming season wil be my 4th year gardening for the home. I am a full time college student, taking all of my classes online. I live/work on a poultry farm with my boyfriend and my 6 year old daughter.

4 years ago, I felt that it was necessary to begin growing my own food, for the joy and the savings. I got my boyfriend's mother (70) and sister (38) involved as well. We currently grow enough food to feed three families(9 people total).

Each year we add something new. This year I think I am going to try peanuts and making peanut butter, if anyone as any tips.

Welcome, frmgrl. I have only ever grown peanuts one plant at a time for the novelty. Other than the fact that they do best in loose soil and a lot of space, I know very little about them. It sounds like you have an ideal place to farm all of your edibles with plenty of 'fert' from the farm. Congratulations. You have found a fun place for your gardening questions. Maybe someone will come along with more advice. And you can share your advice here too.
Here is one place where you can begin.
