Although I'm not a huge fan of prime time TV, I do tend to leave the set on, often turned to a music channel for the company. But there is some programming I really enjoy.

Maxi got me started watching a History Channel show called Modern Marvels and it is always fascinating. We also like Mythbusters when I remember to tune in. Those guys are whacky and it is fun watching them try to prove or disprove popular myths.

When I was going through a rough patch earlier this year, my best friend told me to watch Scrubs which I had never seen before. Maxi and I watched and we laughed so hard at that rediculous show, I made the effort to watch it for a couple of weeks.

So now I'm wondering what do you like to watch?

My favorite show on these days is Extreme Home Makeover. I really love it. John mostly has our TV set on the History Channel, TLC, Discovery or sometimes A&E. He is in charge of the remote and that is fine with me. I am in charge of the computer.

I too love Extreme Home Makeover. We watch Dirty Jobs here and Mythbusters too. But I really like Mike Rowe on that Dirty Jobs. He always gives me a laugh.

In the evening I watch a lot of reality TV. But if there is nothing good on then I will automatically stick it on HGTV or TLC.

On TLC I like watch that Jon and Kate plus 8, and that other family the Duggers--the ones with a zillion kids. lol

I have some favorites....I don't always get to watch them when they are on but I have a DVR so I can watch them when I have some down time and want something to watch and nothing else is on. I watch...Desperate Housewives, Brothers and Sisters, Private Practice, Grey's Anatomy...I also like Lost and American Idol when they come on.

Jessica ~ I have not seen a single show you mentioned! lol

Loz ~ I've also seen Dirty Jobs which has been interesting. I tend to leave it on HGTV quite a bit; not so much TLC.

Tina ~ I enjoy A & E once in a while, too although Maxi doesn't.

All the shows I mentioned are prime time shows on the main networks. I guess we all just have different interests.

I rarely tune in to the main networks, Jess. I've seen trailers for Grey's Anatomy but have never remembered to watch it! lol I'll probably get to it when it goes into re-runs on the cable channels!!

I think Will and Grace was fantastic. I don't know who I liked better, Jack or Karen. lol They really helped make that show.

Golden Girls used to be on here from 1-2am, but they aren't anymore. I watched them last year ever night, even though I'd already watched them all before.

OK Confession time! I am a huge Greys Anatomy Junkie! I LOVE it. Its the only one I religiously watch.
I Hate reality TV never watch it. But I do like How clean is your house, ITs on BBC america. I am aghast at how gross some of those people are. And what a job those two ladies do.
I watch old reruns of seinfeld. And everybody loves Raymond! And I watch I love Lucy, Its on TV land on the weekends.
I watch schmaltzy Movies all the time, whatever is on Hall mark channel, and lifetime. grin

Victoria Stilwell is fantastic. I used to train and let me tell you here methods time honored and right on.
Shes so great, whats scary is to see what some of the owners do with their dogs.

Maxi is watching a show he likes called Whale Wars.

That is terribly hard to even say!

The mouth is in the wrong shape at the end of "whale" to easily move to the shape it needs for "wars".

whale wars whale wars whale wars

Can't even type it five times real fast!

Ah. thumbup So glad you know the show! It amazes me how she turns those dogs around, but yes it does sadden me how some pet owners treat their dogs. I think, no I know I would be an awesome dog mommy. If I could talk Mark into buying me one. rspb

Loz there is a conservation ship called The Sea Shepherd which goes around trying to prevent endagered species from being killed by fishermen. In this episode they were tracking down Japanese vessels that were after the whales.

Some of the crew got mad at the captain and quit but it was a successful voyage.

Rod never wanted a dog in the house--then when Emily wanted dante and got him--it was jsut a matter of tiem b efore he became an indoor dog---and now 10 years later--he thinks it would be a great idea if we had 2 dogs----

well no, not if I have anything to say about it. Your reading a post from the person who would be responsible for yet ANOTHER dog----- egad

James' sister has one of Libby's sisters. They would like to breed her. James thinks we should get one of the puppies when they do. It is funny what they think after they realize having a dog isn't so bad. lol

It nearly HAD to be cancelled because it was a self-limiting show, based on Barlet's presidency. They couldn't keep him in office for more than two terms and to bring in a new administration would have required a complete change of cast. For an ensemble show, that would have been tough. Still, I'm glad they made it and I still enjoy it.

I was very dedicated about watching the first year of "Greys Anatomy"--now not so much----Same with Ugly Betty.

I also used to watch "Deadliest Catch"--I have not seen any new ones since the season ended last year----- why

I LOVE "Mash" reruns--they are the best.

Now I pretty much just watch my soap opera (General Hospital) and then some of the Food Network shows---in particular--Alton Brown-&- Good Eats.

I sometimes catch Tyler's Ultimate and a show with a man named Guy (he has blonde spikes) during dialysis. I've learned many useful cooking ideas from them both.

I will watch a MASH rerun as long as the character of Frank isn't showcased.

Yesssssssss, merme Frank Burns can be quite annoying, I must agree----

and the 'learning things about cooking' is the main reason I like watching the cooking shows as well.
