Sorry about the title guys.... having trouble rhyming six tonight!

I just got home and boy, did it get cold out there after dark!

I'm making dinner and it is taking forever.

So anyone have any treats? Tricks?

This week has been impossibly busy, Tina! And I'm not done yet!

Tomorrow I have an early medical appointment in Portland and the man will bring my lifeline tomorrow afternoon.

All this month, is, in fact, jammed with appointments!

I had to run out on you, Merme. I got the call to go pick John up at the hospital. He was finished with his transfusion. Now I am zonked. I really didn't do much today but I am tired.

I saw a show about 'hamburger' before. it's been SO long, but it seems like it is derived from another word....germany?

and what's with Hot dog and corn dog? I get 'corn' part cause it's corn bread fried around a hot dog......but why the dog?

OH.....and lets not forget hush puppies.

I napped and then made some egg salad . I still need to eat something soon. 'Specially with all of the corn dogs and hush puppies flying around here.

I disappeared for a while because I fell asleep sitting up. When I woke up, I had to go make something hot to drink.

Coffee Mocha tonight. No hard stuff to go in it, though. I have an early appointment in the morning.

ever heard of elbow grease?
ever used a lot of elbow grease, and noticed nothing about the elbow is actually sore the next day? I'll be a know it all and tell ya that the elbow grease muscle is actually located just a bit above the half way point of the elbow and shoulder, between the bicept and that dangly-cept muscle.
I think the time finding the doggie pic was worth WAY more than the actual answer of our pondering! I just loved it!

I used to do a lot of cooking several meals at a time. lots of hassle and clean up, but so worth it to not have to cook every single day.

How 'bout chicken and dumpins with the rest of that chicken? is chicken and dumplins a southern thing or do people all over eat it?

btw, angel. your joke was a big hit with my son who had just spent the last 2 1/2 hours finishing up a social studies paper for school on south america. I asked him all serious 'since he was learning about the world' if he knew...bla bla.... when he heard 'ur a pee n'.....he was laughing his tail end off and hugging me as he went to bed!

I just got home from being out shopping with my mom.---we did very little Christmas Shopping---but I did find what Lowe's termed a "Holiday cactus"--

it is not real big--but they were clearancing them out for $2.48. so how could I say no???? It is a kinda pinkish--so even if Barb's cuttings do make it---I will not have any the same color.
Oh I am so Happy!!!!

I'm glad Carol is having a Merry Christmas already! I love Christmas cactus. It is because of them I found the forum!

I have always believed the onset of cold weather exhausts people as our bodies adjust.

Plus, this can be a frantic, busy time of year.

I am very busy, but I refuse to be frantic. If we have to celebrate our Christmas next summer, so it will be. I am relaxing as much as possible and will not think about things left undone except what is necessary to basic health and happiness each day. That is much the best thing for my mind and family right now.

So what is in that crock pot of yours, anyway, Tina?

I have bacon and beef hash in there, Merme. With lots of potatoes and some onion. Very little beef. It will go well beside the chicken salad I made last night.

One of us needs a much longer arm, Merme. Or a longer serving spoon.
I am brain-fried now. I am looking over a college application for Jonni to start at the local community college for the spring semester. They want to know so much that is not applicable for a 17 year old. And have categories that you need to read through to choose which type of student you are going to be. Then you take the letter of the category and put it in the appropriate box on the app. So Jonni hasn't even started and she has two F's and a D. I am gonna tease her about that. Plus the F she always gets in 'sex' anyway.
