That's right Diane. We all talked constantly ALL day long...and the parties were usually on Friday night, sometimes Sat.....of course, sometimes other times too when the mood was right!!!!

Cricket I have a co worker that is from "the Valley", I wonder if it's the same valley you're talking about,, where your grapefruit came from,

I never ate grapefruit while drinking before! But I guess it would be as good as drinking Tequila and sucking a lime!!!

OMG This One is SOoooooooo GOOD!
Cuban Grapefruit Blossom

2 oz Bacardi 8 Rum
1 oz fresh grapefruit juice
1/4 oz Pomegranate Molasses
1/4 oz Fee Brothers Rock candy syrup

Shake over ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Rock candy syrup are flavoring syrups which have a huge variety of uses. Can be used to flavor mixed drinks and coffee, make smoothies, swirl into cake batter, glaze meat and add interest to salad dressings or cake frostings. :wink:

I remember a while back I asked one question about my washing machine then went outside to water my plants. I came back and everyone had written pages and pages of advice! then another page wondering where I was! I felt so bad, leaving everyone hangin. ha ha.

Yepper! as far as I know in texas, there is the pan handle, deep east texas, west texas, gulf coast, and 'the valley'.

Oh......and let's not forget the 'armpit'. that is what they call the dallas area.

hubby and the kids took off to the grocery store so I have about an hour of peace and quiet. I'm doing a bit of cleaning and playing on the computer.

Good morning, everybody. Maxi and I are having breakfast, enjoying the snow falling and watching Merlin on TV. It is a nice morning and I am feeling very well.

Yes, today I seem to be fine. I'm going slow though and not pushing it. Last night's rest did me well, it seems.

Maxi is outside shoveling. My neighbor has yet to move his big truck which blocks me in during bad weather. The landlord promised to speak to him about it because I have to be able to get out no matter what on dialysis days and his truck prevents the crew from clearing our area.
