i am trying to find the name, sheet music or recording, of a christmas song i learned in elementary school. the chorus was like this:
calling come, sheep come, i'll count you one by one. one for job and one for jacob, and one for the child who's born in bethlehem...
and i get stuck. i've been wracking my brain for 3 days now to figure it out. i'll edit in the words to the verses as i remember them. if anyone knows this song, or where i can find the name, etc. please let me know! thanks
ok, part of one verse (i think) and part of another
all good shepherds watch their flocks, to the lowest lamb. and keep a watch out for the hawk, and for the howling wolf. so that they may safely graze, in far fields or at home.
i've made a friend out of the wind, and falling snow.
the last verse is:
last night there were soldiers on the road below the town and creatures in the heavens with wings of shiny gold.
and i get stuck again. i knew this song, forwards and backwards and love it. but i've never met anyone else who's ever heard it.
the only words i remember repeating are the chorus, and "sheep may safely graze".
i tried googling it again just now. didn't do me a bit of good. if it hadn't been part of our christmas performance my 5th grade year, i'd almost think i dreamed it. but i can't remember the teacher's name anymore, and i'm not in touch with anyone from that class
I got it the minute I rebooted. Whenever Jonni goes on I get slow going and some pop ups. I don't know if it is youtube or the other sites she goes on but I hate it.
