Goodnight, Miss Nana.

Carol Jean, I always have plenty of extra tea. Help yourself.

I took a nap today but I'm still tired tonight.

My Christmas plans for Maxi are beginning to come together and I really hope he is pleased. I'm wracking my brains for ideas for his stocking since I can't shop myself this year. I usually get inspired once I'm in the store. It is much harder to make a list from my head and send someone.

Yes, stocking stuffers mostly need hands on to find, I agree. That would be tough to think of and send someone else for.

Thanks for the tea, Merme.

Could you give the girl a type of guide line and a monetary limit to go by---I find it hard when I am in the store---Nevermind having to think ahead of time---it must be the pits----

I hope it all works out for you.... kissie

Of course he is a teen now. Maybe some after shave? He has an ipod or other music player? An itunes card to download songs of his choice? Any food items not usually available to him? (I tossed that in because my oldest son loves summer sausages and I would put a small one in his stocking in his teens to plump it out.) There is always the standby toothbrush and tooth paste. Girls are easier with lip gloss or whatever make up is allowed or bits of jewelry.

I'm off for tonight, my friends. I still have to put my grocery list together for tomorrow early.

Safe away home, O my palies, and sweet dreams to you all.

Morning ladies.. Notice I did not say good. IT is horrible here in Michigan right now. Blizzard conditions. IT is snowing like crazy, and wind on top of it. IT staarted in the middle of the night.
I am going to have to start hitting it with the snow blower soon because it will get too much to keep up with. No hubby will not help. He will drive in it though. Man I am so sick of this.
Good thing I went grocery shopping yesterday. It is going to be a rough weekend.

the weather is yucky here too ditchy, but not as bad as a blizzard. It's just rainy and foggy and humid. You should see my hair.

I am sorry you have such dreadful weather, Kim. I am glad you have a snow blower to help you out with the toughest part, though. Mother Nature is not always kind, is she?
Morning all. I am up but could have easily slept in another hour. First cup.

It is rainy & foggy here too--and windy REAL windy--but that is good---the wind should dry off the roads----it rained & froze last night on them and everywhere else---it warmed up this mornng and it melted I am sure, which is good, but it is getting colder again tonight--This wind will help--and as my DH and I are going shopping tomorrow I am thankful.

I feel for ya....my brother has emailed me a zillion times about the big blizzardy conditions....I've told you before I know, but he lives in Mason, outside of Lansing......He hates Michigan winters. I don't blame him. He said the only plus is that it's totally flat, unlike back here in Maryland.

It's POURING down with rain here right now. We are in the low 40's so it's too warm for snow...I'd MUCH rather have snow, at least it's pretty and white and bright. Right now it's so dark and dull outside. UGH.

Sheri, Rod is Carol's husband. thumbup

Heading over to moms for some soup. Need to find my raincoat first though.

I know I haven't been chatting much in here lately but I've been so busy. Athena takes up most of my time in the evenings....and Mark has been home in the day now that there is a break in the hunting.....

I still come on and read when I can, but I don't always have time to chat too much.

When I lived with my sister when I was 19 we got evicted. Silly really because she should never have rented the house we were in on just her salary, but we lived there a year.....well the landlord hired people from his area to help us move our stuff out....one of them was Mark. shock lol He remembers my mom because she had a funny accent.....but I don't think I was there at the time. Still though, how funny is that? I always pick on him about it. We met 2 years later when I was 21. thumbup

That's very cool that you can say that Sheri. That he walked you home all that time ago.

What the deal was is that my boyfriend, also named Johnny, and I had broken up that day or the day before (don't remember). My now Johnny heard about it and was waiting for me outside after school. The old Johnny saw him and somehow read his mind and said to him that he knew he was waiting for me. So the old Johnny waited too and walked home with the new Johnny and me. I don't remember much of this but my now Johnny remembers it all. He says that the old Johnny and I talked and laughed all the way to my house. After a while the old Johnny left and the new Johnny and I sat on the porch and talked for a while. He says in a day or two I had a new boyfriend named Mike and he was too shy to speak to me again. My family moved to GA that summer which would have been the 10th grade. We moved back the next year and Johnny said he saw me the first day of the 11th grade but before he got up the nerve to make his move (he's very shy) that I was dating someone else, which is true. I dated someone named Jimmy for over a year. Jimmy played football and I was a cheerleader and Johnny says he would sit behind me (when I was sitting) at the football games and watch me - which now days would be called stalking. We didn't have any classes together and I barely remember him. We didn't hang out with the same crowd but we had a common friend and still do. Wanda. Johnny had a girlfriend in the 11th grade and Wanda dated her brother. (And on a side note, after high school and breaking up with Jimmy, I dated Johnny's girlfriends brothers best friend and saw Johnny at his apartment one day - small world). A while after that, Wanda introduced me to her then husbands best friend and I married him. Johnny had married too. Many years later Wanda and I were separated from our hubands and she had run into the brother (that she had dated in school) who had invited us over and said Johnny would be there too. Wanda wanted to date Johnny. I didn't want to go and almost didn't but she talked me into it. She ended up dating the brother again and it was electric at first sight for Johnny and me and we've been together since.

Sorry you asked?

Hi everyone !~

It is snowing so heavily tonight it took quite a while to come home from dialysis. I guess they won't be bringing Maxi down now since they didn't drop him off early before it started.

It is supposed to storm tonight and then again on Sunday.

It'll definitely be a White Christmas here!

Has anyone heard from Tamara?

well, the white christmas will be nice. but, I wish you didn't have to deal with cold and snow now.
I'm so pooped it doesn't even feel like a friday to me. I don't have that cheer-y happy feeling.

Those are goo ideas, Cricket.
I took a wee bitty rest, not a true nap. Both of my kids are now home for the next three weeks. I like that. I enjoy having them home. I am going to start some laundry here in a bit just to help warm up the house and to get a jump start on it. We are to get freezing temps again tonight.

We had temps up to almost 80 degrees today. a few days ago it was freezing here. I'm the only one (knock knock) that hasn't gotten sick yet. today it is muggy and no wind. I hate to turn on the a/c in december! so our windows and doors are open to let all this muggy air somewhat cool the house. ha ha.
I'm doing a load of socks tonight. that's it!

They'd better let her sleep. lol

Cricket, I wish I had 80 and muggy......that sounds like heaven right now. lol

BTW, when my nephew was little I started getting him Pez dispensers every year for his stocking. Since he's been about 12 he's been telling me, you'd better not forget my Pez dispenser....I really think he'd cry if I forgot it and he's 19 in January....it's the tradition of it I guess. Also put some mens shower gel in there and some of those Tag bodyshot sprays.....

I filled everyones stockings already----Athena didn't even notice. lol Mine is empty though. Why is it that the filler is always the one with the empty stocking.
