after crochetting and ripping out cause I couldn't get the diamond trellis pattern to turn out right I googled and found this.
I'm now making the kids Christmas throws in this simple trellis. (which is what I wanted to do in the first place but couldn't remember how many chains and how many to skip)
the trellis is so simple and goes so fast and is so versatile!
it could be used for scarfs, throws, table cloths, ect.
chain stitch for however wide, or long you wish (depending on which way you want to work it)
Row 1 (set-up row): 1 sc into 6th ch from hook; *5 ch, skip 3 ch, 1 sc into next ch; rep from * to end, turn.
Row 2: *5 ch, 1 sc into next 5-ch arch; rep from * to end, turn.
Repeat Row 2 endlessly.
