Here is a picture taken by one of the members of the Birder's World forum. He goes by the name, Canon-S2, who lives in, and took this picture in Israel. It's a little gruesome, but well worth a look. You can click on the picture to enlarge it.

what a shot. How are people ready when stuff like that happens? By the time I adjust the lens and focus everything the subject is gone. How do you know that was with a Canon S2? It's not listed in his equipment.

His online name is Cannon-S2. He uses a Pentax camera. His real name is Harry K. and he takes some very GOOD pictures.

I once saw a seagull carrying a fish, fly right into the open beak of a pelican, and the pelican promptly closed his beak. When he re-opened it a few seconds later, out flew the seagull- minus the fish!! Who needs to fish when you have a big beak?

It is a known fact that Pelicans train Gulls to go out, catch fish, and then fly back to the Pelican. The Pelican then opens his mouth, the Gull flies in, the Pelican closes his mouth, and the Gull then walks down the Pelican's throat and drops the fish in the Pelican's gizzard. The Gull then walks back up the Pelican's throat, taps on the roof of the Pelican's mouth with its bill, the Pelican opens its mouth. Then Gull flies off to catch another fish and repeat the cycle. In this way, the Pelican, who is lazy, gets fed, and the Gull, who is industrious (and stupid!), gets...... ICKY ! notme why haha

Sorry, Thorn, I keep forgetting to check threads. Must be my old age kicking in early! I don't know much about seagulls, except for the golden rule- don't feed them while you are eating!
